Football Boots with Studs/Blades Banned in Futsal League, Effective 1 March 2009
By Kimberly Chen
4 Mar 2009

Hi guys,

Please note that the new ruling on footwear for the ESPZEN Futsal League will be effective this week onwards.

Kindly ensure that you do not wear football boots with studs (screw-on or moulded) or blades as shown below. These are no longer allowed due to safety reasons.

Players are still permitted to wear:

  • Traditional Futsal Trainers

  • Astro Turf Futsal Trainers with small rubber studs

At all times shin pads remain compulsory.

Any player wearing boots with studs or blades should not enter the court. If you see an opposing player wearing such footwear, please inform the referee to stop the game and ask the player to leave the court.

In event of any dispute, you may call ESPZEN hotline at 8233-2820.

All the best for the remaining futsal games! Bring in the silverware!

Your loyal supporter,
Kimberly
