"... futsal is infinitely better preparation for the outdoor game ... futsal really does teach a higher level of skill than whacking the ball off the wall."

MATADOR FC was officially launched on the 31st of August
2003, as a participant in last seasons Champions League.
The team has evolved from a group of guys enjoying a
weekend kick-about into a fully-fledged football club.
Originally, a group of guys from the company Wall Street
Systems, led by Lindsay Marsh, would enjoy a 5-aside
kick-about in a local park near Clarke Quay. After
becoming tired of avoiding the numerous health hazards
in the park, such as metal spikes sticking out of the
ground, the games were moved to St. Wilfred's futsal
pitches on a Sunday night, where guys from other
companies also joined.
Slowly, through a network of contacts, 11-aside friendly
matches were organized against various social and
company teams, and a blue Adidas kit was established.
Upon entering the 1st Season's Champions League, MATADOR
Systems became the team's official sponsor where a new
bright orange kit was unveiled, and MATADOR FC was
born.
MATADOR Futsal team was born out of the MATADOR FC team; it
consists mainly of players from the footbal team.
Once again, MATADOR is at the front of the pack in terms of
being the pioneer batch to be in the ESPZEN Futsal league, as
well as being one of the pioneers in the ESPZEN Football league,
from its inception way back when there were only 8 teams in
that league.
Here's to team spirit and good football!
